This was at the end of Eagle Lake that is not near the road. Note the really jagged sort of mountain to the left. Grubby realized later that the trail he picked would lead along the bottom of that---then circle behind it---and finally got waaaaay up to the top of a mountain that overlooked this one. He'll point it out when you get to that pic..
